Eric Burstyn
PSYCHOTHERAPY
I am here for people feeling overwhelmed and struggling to navigate their personal, professional, academic, and romantic lives. Using a combination of psychodynamic talk therapy, evidence based practices (EBP) and mindfulness, we can learn management skills for symptoms of anxiety and depression, approach current issues, and explore underlying causes. Psychotherapy is a collaborative endeavor, requiring dedication on the part of both therapist and client — both of us will make necessary and different contributions to the process.

It’s important for me to meet you where you're at and together find a comfortable pace. We can discover and integrate fractured or unknown parts of yourself, find connections which can lead to breakthroughs, and use breakthroughs to allow for an understood, cohesive, and present whole.

I will provide an open, empathetic, and non-judgmental space. My clients come from varied backgrounds regarding age, class, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and health status.

My focus areas include: Anxiety & Depression
Self Esteem | Family Conflict | Grief & Loss | Addiction
Life Transitions | Artistic Blocks | Sex & Relationships
Sexual Identity | Open Relationships, Non-monogamy & Polyamory
I am currently seeing clients via phone/video or in person in my Rockridge, Oakland office.
